A Tribute To The Founder
John (“Jack”) R. McGinley, Jr. founded Ballymoney Real Estate in 1987 to manage his commercial real estate holdings, primarily shopping centers. But Jack is—and has always been—far more than a real estate developer. I have had the privilege of being mentored by him for more than 30 years, and I can say without hesitation that I have learned more in 15 minutes observing Jack than I could learn elsewhere in a lifetime.

An attorney by trade, Jack is the consummate counselor, gentleman, philanthropist, gracious friend, and a pillar of our Pittsburgh community. He is fair and just, and he has always encouraged me to do right by our clients and by those we serve. Jack has quietly done more for Pittsburgh than most will ever realize—largely because he prefers to stay far beneath the radar.

I owe my professional career to Jack and am deeply proud to have earned his confidence as I take the reins, while continuing our decades-long partnership as his company’s property manager.

Jack, my heartfelt thanks for everything. I will forever be grateful—both to you and for you, my dear friend.
